I have used Kahoot for quizzes frequently over the past few years and confess to being a bit over it. However, I have found the survey feature to be very useful in creating content as a writing stimulus. For example, I did a Kahoot survey about which types of music the class enjoyed. It was fairly run of the mill stuff that they would have made into a block graph in the past. As Kahoot survey allows you to save the results, I was able to make a sheet with the statistics and some useful vocabulary (e.g. majority/minority/half). Students then used my sheet in the next lesson to do written work about the music preferences of their class. They have never been so focused doing written work!
