Family Fortunes
This is an idea which I first saw at a German GCSE course by Phillip Allan Updates. In the TV quiz game, contestants are asked questions that have been put to 100 people. They have to find the top answers. It is a very easy format to use to revise vocabulary. Questions can be easy such as “We asked 100 pupils: what is your favourite subject?” or you can use them to generate discussion within your “families”, e.g. “We asked 100 Germans: what do you most fear?”. I used to make up the answers but have now found the website statista.de which has all manner of statistics for added authenticity!
