Freeze frames

My students love the opportunity to use drama in their lessons.  Freeze frames are simple: they design a tableau to represent each word/phrase on a vocabulary list.  As you randomly call these out, students must assemble themselves into their freeze frame.  As the name suggests, they are supposed to freeze! This is a great activity for kinaesthetic learners.

P.S. The students in the photo are doing a freeze frame of “das Schlafzimmer”, of course!
